I’ve heard of the tulip fields in Holland and I’ve always wanted to go. The sea of colors all around almost looks like a dream. The tulips only bloom during the spring, so if you want to visit, you’ve got to go at the right time! Well I haven’t made my way to Holland yet, but I found the next best thing here in California…The Carlsbad Flower Fields!
Carlsbad is a neighboring city of San Diego. If you live in So-Cal or are visiting during the spring, this place is definitely worth the trip.
The fields are covered in different shade of ranunculus flowers. There was white, pink, orange, yellow and red. From a distance, it looked like a watercolor streak of warm shades. It’s seriously gorgeous.
My family and I actually did a fun pit stop there from Orange County to San Diego, so we took our time and wandered the grounds. They have small gardens that have sun flowers, roses, succulents and more! They also have a garden maze, which is actually very difficult! It was so hard finding the end to get out. HA! The also have a green house filled with trumpet plants and orchids.
It was so beautiful and it really felt like I got a sweet taste of what the flower fields in Holland look like. :)
Have you been here before? Let me know!
